Algerian Qatari Steel vaccinated its employees against the coronavirus.
In light of the prevailing epidemiological situation in the country and in accordance with the vaccination campaign programme outlined by the Ministry of Health, Population, and Hospital Reform, AQS, in collaboration with the Health Directorate of Jijel Province and the company's union, initiated a vaccination campaign for its employees on Sunday, 25 July 2021. The event was attended by the General Secretary of the General Union of Algerian Workers, Mr. Labattcha Salim. This initiative demonstrates the company's dedication to the wellbeing of its employees and their families. It is anticipated that 1,500 employees will be vaccinated.
This campaign represents a pioneering initiative in the private sector and aligns with the efforts of the Algerian government to contain the spread of COVID-19. The Algerian Qatari Steel Company aims to enhance herd immunity through these efforts, recognising vaccination as an effective means to prevent the spread of the virus.
