AQS Celebrates International Workers' Day with Tribute to Employees and Families
As part of the celebrations for International Workers’ Day, Algerian Qatari Steel (AQS)
took part in the official festivities held at Djen Djen Port, organized by the General Union of
Algerian Workers – Jijel Branch, under the patronage of the Wali (Governor) of Jijel, accompanied by
the President of the Provincial People's Assembly and other local officials.
This meaningful
participation was marked by a special
tribute organized by the company’s union and the Social Services Committee,
honoring a number of dedicated employees in recognition of their professional
contributions. The event also included a heartfelt moment of remembrance for
the families of deceased workers.
The tribute ceremony
was attended by Mr. Mohamed Khanchil,
Secretary-General of the company’s union, and Mr. Bouderoui Foudhil, President of the Social Services
Committee.
This gesture
reflects the company’s deep-rooted culture of gratitude and recognition, and reaffirms the union’s
ongoing commitment to supporting employees while promoting values of solidarity and fairness within the
workplace.
