Algerian Qatari Steel Shines at BATIMATEC 2025
Algerian Qatari Steel (AQS) proudly took part in the 27th edition of the International Exhibition of Building, Construction Materials, and Public Works – BATIMATEC 2025. The company’s booth attracted a remarkable number of visitors, professionals, and media representatives, reflecting AQS’s growing prominence in the construction materials sector across Algeria and the region.
High-Level Ministerial Visit
A highlight of the exhibition was the official visit by a high-ranking ministerial delegation that included:
- Mr. Mohamed Tarek Belaribi, Minister of Housing, Urban Planning and the City
- Mr. Lakhdar Rekhroukh, Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure

The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Adel Khemane, CEO of the National Iron Industry Company, along with senior managers and staff. The ministers were briefed on AQS’s production capacities, its role in supplying the local market, and its export strategy. They were also updated on the second phase of the company’s expansion project.
Minister Belaribi emphasized the importance of AQS aligning its output with the government’s major housing and infrastructure programs, affirming the company’s strategic role in national development.
