Algerian Qatari Steel Signs Strategic Partnership Agreement with Djen Djen Port

Algerian Qatari Steel (AQS) today signed a strategic partnership agreement with Djen Djen Port Company, marking a new step in strengthening the company's export capabilities and enhancing logistics performance across its entire supply chain.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Sofiane Chaib Setti, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Algerian Qatari Steel, and Mr. Walid Bougous, Chief Executive Officer of Djen Djen Port Company.

The partnership forms part of AQS's strategy to further develop its export operations. It is expected to increase shipping efficiency, provide integrated logistics services from the manufacturing plant to vessel loading, reduce operational costs, improve efficiency, and shorten lead times.

The agreement will also enhance the smooth flow of operations along the Bellara–Djen Djen logistics corridor and reduce vessel turnaround time, further strengthening the company's competitiveness in increasingly demanding global markets.

This agreement builds on a successful and long-standing collaboration between the two organizations. Since the beginning of the year, 13 export vessels have been shipped through Djen Djen Port, which also served as the departure point for the company's first export shipments to South America, highlighting its growing role as a strategic gateway for AQS's international trade.
