Exploring the Launch of Phase II of the Bellara Steel Complex Expansion During Meeting Between the Minister of Industry and the Algerian Qatari Steel Delegation
The Minister of Industry received
a delegation from Algerian Qatari Steel (AQS) at the Ministry's
headquarters on Monday, 29 June 2026, in the presence of H.E. Mr.
Abdulaziz Ali Al Naama, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Algeria.
The meeting provided an
opportunity to exchange views on the second phase of the Bellara Steel
Complex expansion project in Jijel Province and to discuss the mechanisms
required to create the appropriate conditions for launching this strategic
project as soon as possible.
During the meeting, Algerian
Qatari Steel reaffirmed its commitment to continuing its industrial and
investment efforts, contributing to the development of Algeria's iron and steel
industry, strengthening domestic production, and supporting the country's
economic and industrial growth.
