A working visit by Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production Mr. Ali Aoun to the Algerian Qatari Steel Complex

His Excellency the Minister of Industry, Mr. Ali Aoun, conducted a working visit to the iron and steel complex in Bellara, accompanied by the Governor of Jijel Province, the President of the Provincial People's Council, and the CEO of the Sider Group.

After listening to the speeches of Mr Yousef Ahmed ALMUHANNADI, General Manager of the Algerian Qatari Steel Company, and Mr Sofiane Chaib Setti, Deputy General Manager of the company, His Excellency the Minister praised the Algerian Qatari Steel Company and confirmed his full support for this strategic project. He highlighted the company's prestigious status and the constant attention it receives from the highest authorities in the country. He also urged the company to speed up the completion of the second phase of the project in order to increase and develop the production capacity of the complex, while continuing to supply the national market with steel products, guaranteeing price, quality and variety.

In conclusion, His Excellency the Minister expressed his satisfaction and praised the significant and rapid progress made by the Algerian-Qatari Steel Company, describing the Bellara Iron and Steel Complex as a major industrial complex and a shining example of the brotherly relations that characterise Algeria and Qatar.

The General Manager, in his speech, affirmed that the Algerian Qatari Steel Company is steadily and rapidly advancing towards leadership in both local and global markets with its high-quality products. He emphasized three main pillars to achieve its goals: modern technologies, competitiveness, and openness to the world. The General Manager concluded his speech by presenting an overview of the company and its activities.

Meanwhile, the Deputy General Manager presented a briefing on the expansion study of the complex to enter the second phase of the project, which is currently in progress, with the feasibility study nearing completion. Thanks to this expansion, the production capacity of the complex is projected to reach 4 million tons annually of steel products.

The visit concluded with a tour inside the factory conducted by His Excellency the Minister and the accompanying delegation.
