Simulated exercise titled "Exercise 3 for the year 2023" at the Direct Reduction Unit
As part of the annual program of interventions and simulated exercises within the complex for the year 2023, the Algerian Qatari Steel Company, represented by the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment Directorate, conducted an internal simulated exercise titled "Exercise 3 for the year 2023" at the Direct Reduction Unit on October 3, 2023.
The scenario of the maneuver focused on discovering two victims during an inspection. The first victim was suffering from suffocation due to oxygen deficiency, while the second victim had suffered a broken arm as a result of falling from the ladder steps.
