A simulated maneuver occurred at Melting Unit No. 1
where a malfunction in the continuous casting mold resulted in molten metal leaking outside, causing serious burns to two workers.
This scenario was prepared by the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment Directorate in coordination with the National Protection Units at Melting Unit No. 01.
With this, the simulation exercise program developed by the Algerian Qatari Steel Company for the year 2023 concludes, as part of the overall safety strategy within the Bellara complex.
